Three times as long as it is deep, which is the shape the plaza in front of the Wall actually is. A square crop of this scene loses the thing that makes it: the width, the crowd spread along the base of the stone, the eye travelling the whole length before it settles.
The full sweep of the Western Wall unfolds across this ultra-wide scene: sun-washed golden stone rising beneath a crown of cypress trees, while the plaza below glows softly, as if still cool from morning rain.

Eran Regev is the artist and curator behind KotelArtstore. Every piece is a digital work, made with AI-assisted tools under his own direction: the composition, the colour and the painterly texture are the result of his prompting, his selection and his preparation for print. Working digitally is what makes it possible to build a wall of stone in an impasto look one week and in near-monochrome restraint the next, and to print either one beautifully at any size.
